Welcome to the Exchange Platform for Early Career Researchers of the Rhein-Main Universities
The new RMU-wide exchange platform is specifically aimed at R2 and R3 researchers at the Rhein-Main Universities (RMU) – that is, at postdocs, junior and tenure-track professors, as well as advanced early career researchers. It provides you with the opportunity to connect inter- and transdisciplinarily, engage in targeted exchanges, and benefit from RMU-wide resources.
What to expect:
- Networking on equal footing: Establish connections with colleagues from your discipline – and beyond. Exchange ideas with fellows of existing and potential funding programs (e.g., Emmy Noether, ERC Grants) and discover new collaboration opportunities within the RMU alliance.
- Central source of information: The platform consolidates relevant information about funding opportunities, awards, events, and calls for applications – both site-specific and RMU-wide. This way, you stay updated without being overwhelmed by information.
- Targeted support: By providing clear references to contact persons, institutions, and offerings, we avoid redundant information and instead promote tailored orientation and support.
- Interactive communication spaces: Discuss scientific topics in freely designed discussion rooms, join peer groups, or start your own exchange formats. A direct messaging function also facilitates personal contact.
- Your personal profile: Customize your profile and link your academic platforms, such as Google Scholar or academia.edu. This way, you can significantly increase your visibility within the network.
- Easy access: Authentication is straightforward using your existing university access data (DFN-AAI). New accounts are not necessary.
Who is it for?
All early career researchers of the RMU – especially R2 and R3 researchers – who want to network, gain visibility, and benefit from the structural offerings of the alliance.
Dive into an interactive platform that fosters exchange, creates synergies, and supports your research through strong connections.

This is your central resource for all essential information related to the platform and its use. In the Information Center, you’ll find current announcements, open calls, and funding opportunities relevant to researchers across the three partner universities. You can also find detailed contact information for support with collaboration, technical issues, or administrative questions.
The section includes platform guidelines, FAQs, and practical how-to guides to help you navigate and make the most of your experience here. Whether you are new to the platform or looking for specific support - this is your starting point to stay informed, find help, and connect efficiently.

Welcome to the ERC Grantees & Applicants Forum
A collaborative hub for exchange, insight, and support.
This forum brings together current and former holders of European Research Council (ERC) Grants - Starting, Consolidator, Advanced, and Synergy - as well as researchers interested in applying. It is a space for scientific dialogue, peer support, and the sharing of experiences related to ERC-funded research and the application process.
Members are encouraged to discuss scientific strategies, proposal development, evaluation procedures, and life as an ERC grantee. Aspiring applicants are invited to ask questions, connect with experienced grantees, and gain valuable guidance on how to navigate the competitive ERC landscape.
